A tip of the hat to Rebecca Frazer for alerting readers to the latest jaw-dropping example of Planned Parenthood hypocrisy.
You know, of course, that November was National Adoption Month. Leave it to PPFA of Indiana to try to tie its deadly wagon to the life-affirming option of adoption.
If you went to PPFA of Indiana’s webpage you could have read a short item (published in the middle of November) that carried the headline, “Celebrating National Adoption Month: Special Thanks to Our Adoption Partners.” Here are the first two paragraphs:
“Most people are aware that our health centers offer various forms of birth control, so men and women can determine which type fits their needs.
“What you may not know, though, is that adoption information is also available at all of our health centers, to help our patients make educated decisions about what’s best for them and their families. At three of PPIN’s health centers – in Indianapolis, Bloomington and Merrillville – we also offer on-site adoption counseling.”
Exactly how many “successful adoptions” did PPIN “pave the way for”? Twelve. In one year? No, 12 over the course of six years!
Randall K. O’Bannon, Ph.D., National Right to Life Education and Research Director, has documented PPFA’s “investment” in adoption. He wrote:
“Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion provider, performing about 330,000 abortions a year, more than a quarter of the nation’s total. By contrast, it recorded only 31,908 prenatal visits in 2010 and did just 841 adoption referrals nationwide. It reported no births in 2010, or in 2009, or 2008, or 2007…
PPFA is in the baby-killing business, which is why Planned Parenthood of Indiana ends its pat on the back with, “Of course, adoption isn’t right for everyone.”
