Ten Democrat Senators have refused to condemn Virginia governor Ralph Northam for supporting infanticide.
Earlier this week, Northam not only defended a bill in the state legislature that would legalize abortions up to birth – even if the mother is dilated — he defended infanticide during a radio show today.
Northam apparently thinks it’s okay to kill a baby once the infant is fully delivered.
“If a mother is in labor…the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and mother,” he said.
Later Northam doubled down on his support for infanticide via s spokesman, who essentially said the governor was only talking about infanticide in cases of disabled babies.
Then, late yesterday, Northam refused to disavow his comments when he endorsed infanticide, saying: “I don’t have any regrets.”
Despite all this receiving national attention, one reporter asked 10 Democrat senators about the comments. They refused to condemn the governor of supporting infanticide and claimed to know nothing about his controversial remarks.
“Not one of them would acknowledge [Northam’s] comments,” Rodgers said on Twitter. “Everyone of them denied hearing them.”
I just spoke with over 10 Democratic Senators in the past 2 hours. Not one of them would acknowledge @GovernorVA‘s comments on late-term abortion. Everyone of them denied ever hearing them.
