Vice President Mike Pence on Thursday issued a statement about abortion and said he is very concerned about Democrats who continue to refuse a vote on a bill to stop infanticide and Congress.
Pence slammed Democrats and their leader Nancy Pelosi who “refuses even to vote on a bill that would protect children that are born alive is deeply troubling to millions of Americans.”
Pelosi and House Democrats continue to refuse a request to allow a vote on the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, legislation that would stop infanticide and provide medical care and treatment for babies who survive abortions.
Late Wednesday, House Democrats refused a vote on the bill for the 44th time — reading the same statement they have read the previous 43 occasions that claims there is no bipartisan agreement to bring the bill up for a vote. Despite the claim, Republican leaders have repeatedly asked Pelosi and top Democrats to reach an agreement for the bill to receive a vote.
The Vice President also slammed those states like New York and Vermont that are passing extreme laws allowing abortions up to birth and infanticide. He blasted them for approving “extreme pro-abortion” laws.

“But sadly, many states around the country are also adopting extreme pro-abortion legislation,” Pence said. “We recently saw the state New York embrace late-term abortion.”
And he celebrated States like Alabama and Georgia that have passed bans on abortions to protect babies before birth, saying such efforts “are embracing life.”
“I’m proud to be part of pro-life administration,” the vice president said. “And President Trump and I have worked to stand for the sanctity of life since the outset of this administration. And we’ll continue to stand strongly there.”
