President Donald Trump gave his farewell address to the nation today from the White House. In video remarks that were pre-taped since most networks are refusing to provide him live coverage, President Trump went through many of the highlights and accomplishments of his presidency.
“We restored the principle that a nation exists to serve its citizens. Our agenda was not about right or left… but about the good of a nation,” he said. “As I conclude my term as 45th president of the United States, I stand before you truly proud of what we have achieved together. We did what we came here to do and so much more.”
“We restored the idea that in America, no one is forgotten—because everyone matters and everyone has a voice,” he added.
“Four years ago, I came to Washington as the only true outsider ever to win the presidency… We built the greatest political movement in the history of our country,” he added. “I want you to know that this movement we started is only beginning.”

The president also thanked his vice president, pro-life Mike Pence.
“I also want to thank Vice President Mike Pence, his wonderful wife Karen, and the entire Pence family,” he said.
Although he never mentioned pro-abortion Joe Biden or Kamala Harris by name, President Trump wished them well.
“This week, we inaugurate a new administration and pray for its success in keeping America safe and prosperous,” he said.
Trump also condemned the rioting and violence at the Capitol earlier this month.
“All Americans were horrified by the political assault on our Capital. Political violence is an attack on everything we cherish as Americans, it can never be tolerated,” he said.
