Pro-life college students reported at least three vandalism incidents in the past two weeks on campuses across the eastern United States as pro-abortion activists grow increasingly aggressive.
These included vandalism mocking pro-life leader Kristan Hawkins at Wellesley College in Massachusetts, torn fliers advertising a pro-life event at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and a destroyed pro-life display at Xavier University in Ohio.
The latest reports add to a growing list of vandalism, harassment and other incidents targeting pro-lifers and churches in recent weeks.
In Ohio, pro-life students with Xavier Students for Life and the Network of Enlightened Women set up a pro-life display Wednesday on campus with balloons and an LED sign that read “Pro-Woman Pro-Life,” according to Xavier Newswire. Students said they wanted to remember the lives of unborn babies who were killed in abortions.
By early Thursday morning, however, the students said they noticed that their display had been defaced, and called campus police.

About a week earlier, posters set up by a pro-life club at Wellesley College also were vandalized, Townhall reports. The posters advertised an event with Students for Life of America president Kristan Hawkins. One image of the vandalism showed devil horns and fangs drawn on Hawkins’ photo and a comment calling her a “transphobic, anti-woman pig.”
Hawkins said pro-abortion students tried to cancel her speech, even posting threatening and defamatory comments about her, but they did not succeed.
A third vandalism incident happened around the same time at Dartmouth. Campus Reform reports students with the College Republicans club reported being harassed and having their pro-life posters torn down the week of Oct. 20.
“We’ve never had a response like this,” club vice president Chloe Ezzo told Campus Reform. Everyone is “free to come and question the speakers at the end of the event, but to harass our members and vandalize is authoritarian and their way of trying to silence us.”
Ezzo said posters advertising their “Truth About Abortion” discussion were torn down, and someone took the time to rip apart an image of an unborn baby on one poster, tearing its head apart from its body. Other posters were vandalized with pro-abortion comments, according to the report.
Threats, vandalism, violence and other incidents targeting pro-lifers have been growing in recent years. Catholic Churches also have reported an increase in vandalism and other crimes.
