Joe Biden admitted that an abortion kills “a child” Tuesday while defending the life-destroying practice.
Responding to a journalist’s question about the possibility that Roe v. Wade may be overturned, Biden said he thinks it is wrong for the U.S. Supreme Court to make a “judgment” about when life begins, Townhall reports.
“Roe says what all basic mainstream religions have historically included, that the existence of a human life and being is a question,” Biden said. “Is it at the moment of conception? Is it six months? Is it six weeks? Is it quickening?”
In his very next sentence, however, Biden seemed to admit that an abortion does kill “a child.”
“The idea that we’re going to make a judgment that is going to say that no one can make the judgment to choose to abort a child, based on a decision by the Supreme Court, I think goes way overboard,” he said.

The comment quickly caught the attention of pro-life advocates, including conservative podcast host Allie Beth Stuckey.
“Biden, like all very old people, no longer has a filter. He says what everyone is thinking. Here, he admits what we all know: abortion kills a child. And he’s for it,” Stuckey wrote on Twitter.
Bob Unruh at WND also highlighted Biden’s truth blunder, writing, “His comment appears to destroy the abortion industry’s oft-made claim that the unborn are not children until they are born.”
Others pointed out how Biden abandoned his pro-life views on abortion years ago in exchange for support from the billion-dollar abortion industry.
“How tragic to see a man, who for decades in the Senate stood against tax funding for abortion, so completely sell out to Big Abortion,” the Susan B. Anthony List responded on Twitter.
Earlier Tuesday, the White House issued a crafted statement from Biden in response to a leaked draft opinion from the Supreme Court that allegedly overturns Roe v. Wade.
“We do not know whether this draft is genuine, or whether it reflects the final decision of the Court,” Biden said in the statement. Later, he continued, “I believe that a woman’s right to choose is fundamental, Roe has been the law of the land for almost 50 years, and basic fairness and the stability of our law demand that it not be overturned.”
Chief Justice John Roberts confirmed the draft is real but cautioned that it “does not represent a decision by the Court or the final position of any member.”
In 1973, Roe v. Wade destroyed children’s rights before birth when it forced states to legalize abortions up to viability and allowed abortions up to birth. Since then, more than 63 million unborn babies and hundreds of mothers have died in supposedly “safe, legal” abortions.
Without Roe, researchers predict as many as 26 states would ban abortions and save hundreds of thousands of unborn babies’ lives.
The Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling on the abortion case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health sometime this summer, likely in June.
