Pop singer Lizzo slammed pro-life lawmakers for protecting unborn babies from abortion Friday during a concert in Omaha, Nebraska, saying she feels heartbroken about the new state abortion limits.
Q News reports Lizzo made the comments on the same day the Nebraska Legislature passed a bill to protect unborn babies from abortions after 12 weeks. The bill, which Gov. Jim Pillen signed Monday, goes into effect immediately and could save hundreds of babies’ lives.
The pop star portrayed the bill as anti-health care and anti-reproductive rights, even though reproduction already has occurred when an abortion kills an unborn baby.
“Anybody who comes to a Lizzo show should know that I am for people to have the right to healthcare, reproductive and gender affirming,” she told her audience.
The new Nebraska law also protects children by prohibiting transgender hormones and surgeries that can result in permanent sterilization and other life-long problems for underage minors.
Lizzo claimed these protections for born and unborn children really are the opposite, telling the crowd, “It really breaks my heart that there are young people growing up in a world that doesn’t protect them.

“So let me be your safe space tonight,” she continued. “Don’t let anybody tell you who you are. Don’t let any law tell you who you’re not, you are who you are, okay? I see you, you are valid. You deserve to be here in every form. You contain multitudes. These laws are not real. You are what’s real and you deserve to be protected.”
But the pop singer does not believe in protecting children from abortion. On the contrary, she frequently uses her celebrity status to advocate for killing unborn babies in abortions.
“MY BODY IS NOBODYS BUSINESS,” Lizzo wrote in January on Twitter. “On what would’ve been the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we share our stories — reproductive care is health care.”
She shared the story of a woman named Macy who said she had an abortion when she was 17, and she is “happy to see” people “normalizing abortion” now.
The pop star claims to advocate for marginalized communities, but she ignores the most victimized group of all: babies in the womb. Since 1973, more than 64 million unborn babies have been aborted in the U.S.
Like many Hollywood celebrities, Lizzo has been involved in the pro-abortion movement for years.
In 2019, she joined Lady Gaga, John Legend and others in supporting the billion-dollar abortion chain Planned Parenthood. Through the campaign, the celebrities urged “their social media followers to take action against [state abortion] bans, and learn more about the threat to safe, legal abortion access in communities across the country.”
Last summer, Lizzo also donated to Planned Parenthood in response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The abortion chain does about 40 percent of all abortions in the U.S., including more than 380,000 in 2020 alone. Its own employees have accused Planned Parenthood of discriminating against black and pregnant employees, putting money ahead of patients, trying to manipulate a former CEO’s grief after she suffered a miscarriage, and other unethical actions.
