Last month, New Mexico’s pro-abortion Governor Lujan-Grisham’s taxpayer funded abortion hotline was caught referring women to The Satanic Temple Health (TST Health) abortion clinic. New Mexico Alliance for Life released its findings through public records that the hotline is sending women to what is advertised as “the world’s first religious abortion clinic.”
The pro-life groups released new records to LifeNews today confirming Lujan-Grisham’s taxpayer funded abortion hotline continues referring women to the Satanic abortion business.
“This week, New Mexico Alliance for Life obtained additional documents from an open records request from the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH), further confirming the fact that the state’s taxpayer-funded abortion hotline is still promoting The Satanic Temple Health (TST Health) ritual abortion clinic,” the group told LifeNews. “The original document obtained late July by NMAFL from NMDOH, via the Inspection of Public Records Act, lists “TST Health” along with TST Health’s website for “The Satanic Temple Health” ritual abortion clinic. In fact, NMAFL sent clarifying requests to NMDOH about “TST Health” on July 17, 2023 and received not only a list of abortion referral centers but confirmation directly from NMDOH Custodian of Records about TST Health.”
The follow-up confirmed that the referrals continue.
“Due to an overwhelming number of responses and concerns, we followed up a second time with NMDOH requesting a current list of abortion centers the taxpayer funded hotline is referring to. Yet again, “TST Health” is listed as an abortion center the state of New Mexico is referring women to, for what TST Health calls a ‘ritual abortion,'” the group said.
“The fact that the Satanic Temple is doing ritual abortions in New Mexico clearly indicates the abortion issue is a spiritual battle of good versus evil,” said Elisa Martinez, founder of New Mexico Alliance for Life. “We ask for prayers for New Mexico and encourage citizens to fight back by helping us expose the dark side of the abortion industry that not only exploits women for profit but is now openly offering up satanic ritual abortion sacrifices of their innocent babies.”

The pro-life leader also confirms the state’s abortion promotion at taxpayer expense is resulting in more babies killed in abortions.
New Mexico’s abortion rate has doubled since the overturning of Roe v. Wade last year. In 2021, New Mexico abortion businesses reported 4,900 abortions. That number jumped to 11,000 in 2022. In 2023, New Mexico abortion businesses ended the lives of 5,300 innocent babies.
Additionally, New Mexico Alliance for Life found that only 13 of the 33 abortion clinics women are referred to are in-state businesses, while 20 are out-of-state: from Bethesda, MD, Seattle, WA, to Wichita, KS.
The in-state state taxpayer-funded abortion referral list includes Presbyterian Health of Espanola, 5 Las Cruces area abortion businesses, 6 Albuquerque, 1 Santa Fe and 1 Farmington (see the list obtained by NMAFL here.)
“Why are taxpayers of New Mexico forced to promote the satanic temple religious abortion center through the pro-abortion governor’s hotline,” said Elisa Martinez, New Mexico Alliance for Life executive director. “Is the state of New Mexico fully disclosing to women that “TST Health” is a satanic ritualistic abortion center and that abortion is not a life-saving procedure that it involves the ending of an innocent human life?”
Earlier this month, Governor Lujan-Grisham announced the establishment of the abortion referral hotline using taxpayer funds. During this year’s legislative session, she also allocated $10 million in taxpayer dollars to fund an abortion center in Doña Ana county.
