Democrat Wants to Give Abortionists Tax Credits to Move to Illinois to Kill Babies

The state of Illinois does not kill enough babies in abortions. That’s the message a new bill sponsored by a Chicago Democrat is sending.

With surrounding states protecting babies from abortions, the Land of Lincoln has seen a slight increase in the number of abortions as some people travel there to end the lives of their unborn children. Whatever that increase may be, it’s not enough for Chicago Democrat state representative Kelly Cassidy.

She filed House Bill 5152 which would give a $500 tax credit to any abortionist who moves to the state to ply their trade killing babies before birth.

The bill would provide the same tax credit to anyone who moved to Illinois to have their unborn children eviscerated in an abortion or parents moving to Illinois with their teen children to ensure their grandchild dies in an abortion.

Republicans are calling out the measure as an extremist policy that puts taxpayers on the hook for funding abortions and the abortion industry.

Republicans have chastised the legislation, seeing it as a faulty way to address population loss experienced by the state.

State Rep. Adam Niemerg, a member of the Illinois Freedom Caucus, took issue with the proposal after the General Assembly did not renew the Invest in Kids, a program providing income tax credits to those supporting private K-12 school scholarships, before it sunset at the end of last year.

“The message from the far-left is you can’t have a tax credit to help low-income families, but if it’s related to abortion or woke teaching policies it’s ok,” Niemerg, R-Dietrich, said in a statement. He is running as a write-in candidate this year after the Illinois State Board of Elections removed him from the ballot.
