How many 40 Days for Life campaigns does it take to close an abortion facility?

It’s a question we get asked a lot, and there’s no easy answer. But 40 Days for Life participants in Arkansas can tell you that after more than 20 40 Days for Life campaigns, Little Rock Family Planning Services has closed its doors for good!

With the property up for sale, longtime 40 Days for Life leader Mary and her team now pray that Planned Parenthood follows suit as they stand vigil in front of Little Rock’s remaining abortion facility.

Arkansas is one of America’s most pro-life states, so there’s plenty of reason to be optimistic that Planned Parenthood’s days are numbered…

…but prayer warriors will take nothing for granted.

“Abortion is illegal in Arkansas, but we have many girls who are going out of state [to] Kansas or Illinois,” wrote the local leadership team. “Their first stop is Planned Parenthood in Little Rock. That is why our fight is not over.”

Tucson, Arizona

40 Days for Life campaign director Steve Karlen recently addressed vigil participants at an atypically chilly vigil in Tucson.

Laura, the local leader, said she used to consider herself “a pro-choice Christian.” But then she saw the Unplanned film with her church.

The film didn’t just inspire her to become pro-life; it also moved her to do something about the abortion crisis by signing up to lead the local 40 Days for Life campaign!

Vigil attendees also heard a powerful testimony from an abortion survivor–who didn’t learn about the attempt on her life until she was in her 40s!

Centralia, Washington

Cold weather didn’t prevent the Centralia campaign from getting off to a hot start!

Judy reported having 4-6 prayer vigil participants on hand for much of the day. Some of them engaged in Sidewalk Outreach, greeting women by asking, “May I give you some free resources?”

The outreach was well received. “Most women took the information,” Judy said.
