On August 15, a man threatened Abortion Free New Mexico leader Bud Shaver as he stood outside Whole Woman’s Abortion Facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Though the video below may look somewhat tame, keep in mind that the man had just threatened Shaver’s life by violently swerving his moving vehicle straight toward him as Shaver stood on the corner between the curb and sidewalk.
According to the police report, the assailant claimed he was “distracted and accidentally pulled to [sic] close to the curb, then swerved back into his lane and continued on his way.”

However, Moore did not continue on his way. Instead, he parked, got out of his vehicle, and approached Shaver on foot. He then guaranteed the larceny charge when Shaver caught him on video stealing his private property – a sign that read “FREE RESOURCES Pull Over for Help!” and “Love Will End Abortion.”
The police report also indicated others had stated they previously experienced similar encounters with an individual who fit Moore’s description. The full police report can be seen HERE.
“We are glad that Shaver, a long-time friend of Operation Rescue, survived the threat and followed through with filing charges against this individual,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “It appears that this was not the first time he has threatened pro-lifers who are peacefully and respectfully offering hopeful solutions to abortion vulnerable women and girls.”
Because of the chaos created by Moore’s actions, Shaver was also robbed of pro-life resources, including diapers and information about “A Woman’s Right to Know.” According to a statement made by Tara Shaver, spokeswoman for Abortion Free New Mexico, employees of the abortion center are suspected to have been responsible for the secondary theft.
