With just about a month to go before the 2024 presidential election, a member of the Democrat ticket finally sat down with Fox News. Vice presidential nominee and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz joined Shannon Bream on Fox News Sunday, for an interview that perhaps explains the reluctance for these types of interviews at the top of the ticket.
Bream pressed Walz on an array of issues, many of which garnered the kinds of fact-checks that Democrats do not normally get. The interview opened with a question on whether Walz supports Israeli preemptive strikes against Iran, including against oil and/or nuclear facilities. After some dancing around and backpedaling from previous statements widely viewed as being pro-Hamas, Walz ultimately issues a non-answer.
Bream then goes to the abortion question. Walz catches multiple fact-checks on Amber Thurman, on the repeal of reporting pursuant to Minnesota’s born-alive law after reports that 8 abortion survivors died, and on emergency care in abortion scenarios.

Full exchange on abortion:
Walz insists MN law does not go beyond Roe, repeats “abortion ban” lie, gets thoroughly fact-checked on Amber Thurman, on repealing MN born-alive reporting requirements, and on emergency care in abortion scenarios https://t.co/RQvu4VcnJp pic.twitter.com/u75FKeRATN— Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) October 6, 2024
Walz is also nonresponsive about his record in Minnesota of providing driver’s licenses and in-state tuition to illegal aliens, pivoting to the failed border bill. Here, too, Walz catches a fact-check.
When it came to food prices and inflation, Walz went into this weird rant about the price of corn before eating another fact-check on tariffs.
Finally, Bream confronted Walz on his multiple lies on personal matters.
If there might be any quibble with any portion of this interview it might be, as others have expressed, with presenting Walz with the opportunity to select one of the full buffet of lies as the one to rebut, rather than dragging him through each of them one by one: Stolen Valor, Tiananmen Square, IVF, his DUI, et cetera. Here, Walz pivots back to safe ground and defends IVF before pivoting to January 6th and eating another fact-check. The interview of Walz, as I mentioned, was the first of anyone on the Democrat ticket on Fox News, with a month to go before the election. The question is now on the table: when is Kamala Harris going on Fox News. Will the campaign even allow her to go on Fox? Exit question: does Tim Walz’s pronunciation of “nuclear” render him a moron? That is the Regime Media’s rule, right?
