Benedictine College received an A+ grade from the Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement for its support of pro-life issues.
The Demetree Institute explained that it gave that grade to Christian schools that promoted nonviolent abortion alternatives, such as local pregnancy help centers, and are not promoting Planned Parenthood or abortion.
Benedictine College reports that the Demetree Institute investigated 732 colleges, and Benedictine’s grade landed it in the top 7.9% of colleges for its pro-life activities.
“Benedictine College is very well known as a Pro-Life institution,” President Stephen Minnis said. “We send busloads of students to the March for Life every year and have even led the march.”

He continued, “We also established an alumni program to support local, regional and state Pro-Life rallies, we have major Pro-Life speakers on campus regularly, and as noted in the study, we support the local pregnancy help center.”
In 2022, Students for Life of America named Benedictine College as one of the top three pro-life colleges in America.
The college’s pro-life group, Ravens Respect Life, engages in sidewalk advocacy several times a month, participates in 40 Days for Life, attends the National March for Life every year, and provides resources for students who are parents.
