Minutes into his speech at a rally in the battleground state of Ohio, President Barack Obama found himself on the receiving end of heckling from a pro-life advocate.
The pro-life protester held up a cardboard sign that read “this moral wrong should never be a constitutional right.” The sign included some grisly photographs of aborted babies.
This is the same pro-life advocate who, weeks ago, ran onto the field before a playoff game between the San Francisco Giants and Cincinnati Reds at the Great American Ball Park.
Rives Grogan of Los Angeles was charged with trespassing and resisting arrest after running onto the field carrying a sign that said “Abortion Is Sin.” Officials stopped the game for three minutes while police apprehended Grogan.
The crowd of 13,500 drowned him out with a chant of “Four more years!” One report provided more details on what happened:
The incident forced the president to stop his speech and the man continued shouting until five police offers hauled him out of the arena. When Obama began speaking again, another man on the other side of the arena tried to shout him down again, but was quickly escorted out.
“These might have been some Tennessee Titans fans who were mad about the Bears beating them really badly today,” Obama joked, before resuming his speech.
