Planned Parenthood to Spend Over $1 Million for New Ads Promoting Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton’s best friends at the Planned Parenthood abortion business are sinking even more money into promoting her campaign for the Democratic nomination for president. The abortion giant announced today that it will spend over $1 million on television and Internet-based advertising to push her campaign to Democrats as Clinton faces a tough challenge from fellow abortion advocate Bernie Sanders.

Politico has more:

Planned Parenthood Votes and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund have launched a multi-platform, seven-figure ad campaign in Michigan, Virginia and Texas on Thursday.

The campaign will use videos, digital ads, phone banks and mailers in support of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who the groups, the political arms of Planned Parenthood, have endorsed in the Democratic presidential primary.

“Hillary Clinton is the only candidate in this race who has made women’s health and rights a priority. Hillary Clinton has been fighting for women and their families for her entire life,” Deirdre Schifeling, the executive director of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund said in a statement. “Politicians in Virginia, Texas and Michigan have been stripping women and families of their basic health and rights. Women in these three states know how important it is to elect a champion who will fight for women. That’s why so many women are standing up in support of Hillary. They know what’s at stake, and they know she’ll fight for us.”

Earlier this year, the Planned Parenthood abortion business spent six figures on a huge ad buy in Iowa.

The abortion company is pulling out all of the stops to elect its best friend president and its lobbying arm purchased the large advertising buy on Friday to give Clinton a last-minute shot in the arm.

“There’s too much at stake for us to take a back seat in this election. Every single leading Republican candidate would strip health care from millions across the country — blocking patients from seeking services at Planned Parenthood, banning safe, legal abortion and even ending insurance coverage for birth control,” Deirdre Schifeling, executive director of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, said in a statement. “Hillary Clinton is someone who won’t back down from this fight — she’s made it clear that fighting for women’s health and reproductive rights is a top priority.

“At the end of the day, she’s the one we trust to go head to head with the extreme anti-abortion politicians hell-bent on rolling back the progress we’ve made for women,” Schifeling said.

The abortion corporation purchased ad space to run two videos pushing Clinton’s candidacy on the homepages of the Cedar Rapids Gazette and The Des Moines Register newspapers.

Responding to the purchase, Marjorie Dannenfelser, the head of the Susan B. Anthony List, said, “Whether it is Hillary Clinton or another of the pro-abortion candidates on the Democratic side, it’s clear the Democrat running in November will be a pro- abortion radical.”

“The nation’s largest abortion provider endorsed Hillary earlier this month – their first-ever primary endorsement! – and promised to spend $20 million this year supporting her and her pro-abortion allies running for office,” she said.

Dannenfelser said Planned Parenthood is getting a quid pro quo from its best friend.

“Hillary has promised to get rid of the Hyde Amendment, which would clear the way for the expansion of taxpayer-funded abortion up until birth,” she said. “Hillary has said she would favor appointing Barack Obama to the Supreme Court a guaranteed pro-abortion vote! Hillary has also refused to watch the full undercover Planned Parenthood videos, and has consistently supported the organization since the release of the footage exposing their role in the harvest and sale of body parts from aborted babies.”

“We must elect a pro-life President this year and retain pro-life majorities in both the House and Senate,” she concluded.

Clinton recently made a campaign promise that would force her radical abortion policies on the American people by repealing the Hyde Amendment and using tax dollars to pay for women’s abortions. Clinton previously said she also would not restrict abortion for any reason through all nine months of pregnancy. On the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, while tens of thousands of pro-lifers braved a snow storm to march for life in Washington, D.C., Clinton spent the day campaigning for abortion. She joined abortion advocates on Jan. 22 in New Hampshire to celebrate the infamous U.S. Supreme Court decision that led to 58 million abortions.

During the event, Clinton said she wants to give poor women access to taxpayer-funded abortions, because it would help them economically.

“It should not be that some who are fortunate economically can access their rights [to abortion] while all others are left behind,” Clinton said. “Human rights, civil rights, women’s rights matter. And there is no more important issue than reproductive rights.”

Planned Parenthood, which already reaps in $550 million in taxpayer dollars each year, stands to benefit even more if Clinton becomes president and allows full-fledged taxpayer funding of abortion. Abortions and revenue almost certainly would increase for Planned Parenthood if Clinton becomes president. The group performs almost 330,000 abortions every year – more than any other group in the U.S.

Polling consistently shows that a majority of Americans, even those who identify as pro-choice, disagree with Clinton’s proposed abortion policies. A recent poll found that 68 percent of Americans oppose taxpayer funding of abortion, LifeNews reported.

Clinton’s extreme position on abortion is clear. At a campaign event in August, she compared pro-lifers to terrorists. Then, during a September interview on CBS, Clinton revealed that she wouldn’t support a federal limit on abortion “at any state of pregnancy” in the name of a “woman’s right to choose.”

This position, too, stands in stark opposition to most Americans’ positions on abortion, according to polling. A Marist survey found that 8 in 10 Americans, including 82 percent of women, would restrict abortion to the first three months of pregnancy, at most. Even 66 percent of Americans who identify as pro-choice say they want more abortion restrictions.
